El Dios Tierra
Grease pencil on paper

An age-old planet. It was already there when the moon was fully formed, made of the same stuff as planet earth. Tides ensued and when they ebbed away, life was revealed: a multitude of beings, little, tiny, big and huge ones.
Some were soft, some as hard as rocks, some had teeth, antennas and horns. Carpets of colours, thin blades of grass, majestic ferns, deep woods. Living nature, burning rocks, fire, earth and air. Natural selection: the strongest ate the weakest, the smallest hid themselves, the fittest easily adapted to the environment, travelled long distances and survived. He was there watching all along, and is still there now. His gaze follows us from the heart of the mountain, from up above the clouds, from the depths of the sea. He is the peaceful soul of the earth, the lord of Time.
